Toxoplasmosis: Epidemiology, Prevention and Control
Ionela Hotea, Gheorghe D˘ar˘abusIonela Hotea graduated the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine from Timisoara, Romania in
2007. In the same institution, she followed PhD studies in the field of Veterinary Parasitology,
graduated in 2011. With more than 15 years of experience in the field of veterinary medical scientific
research, she has contributed to the implementation of more than 10 research projects in the field.
She has published more than 170 national and international scientific papers and 8 books in the
field of Life Sciences. She won the national award “Eminent Researcher”—University Horizons
Association—in 2017 and awards for prestigious scientific publications. She is a member of the
Project Management Unit of the University, Member of the Editorial Board and Scientific Committee
of the journal “Advance Research in Life Sciences” USV Timisoara, as well as in various nationally
and internationally recognized scientific associations. She is currently a Lecturer at the Faculty of
Veterinary Medicine of the University of Life Sciences “King Mihai I” from Timisoara, Romania,
where, in addition to her teaching activity, she passionately continues her research activities
approaching various scientific topics in the veterinary medical field.
